Currently the fastest way to receive payments is through using your bank account. Whether Absa, FNB, Capitec, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Grandrod Bank. The four biggest banking groups in South Africa are Standard Bank Group, FirstRand Ltd (which operates First National Bank), Absa Group, and Nedbank Group. These four banking groups provide more than 80% of banking services in South Africa.

How to Change Your Banking Details.

After reapplying for the r350 grant its good to update your banking details to ensure that SASSA still has the right bank account details. If you dont change your banking details, SASSA will use your old bank account details to send you the money. Change it if you have a different preference. Sometimes adding the same account ensures that SASSA has your right information.

Visit the srd.sassa website and scroll to the changing banking details tab. Now, key in your ID number for you to receive a link on your mobile phone number. Open it up in the chrome browser, reconfirm your ID again and then go back to update your banking details.

Remember to Choose ‘capture own account” so you can enter it again. This is necessary even if its the same bank account as you used. Doing this will help you be assured that SASSA still has the right information with regards to your bank details.
